'Please water the plants'...
was the first thing the lovely owner of Birds and Bells told me when she showed me her studio. From her window where lemongrass, mint and a few spring-flowers enjoyed the morning sun, I could see the turrets of the Sacré Coeur Basilica and hear the high-pitched songs of Montmartre's birds.
Rue des Trois Frères, a few steps from Amelie Poulain's grocery store (Collignon), Alexandra Caloni has created a little home for her friends and visitors - to indulge in the laid-back, unpretentious yet poetic lifestyle of Montmartre.
