Back in France, you may have a seat on the comfortable sofa, made by none other than Hughues Chevallier, the renown maker of canapés that are guaranteed for life. This one can be converted to a sleeper-sofa which is truly comfortable, living up to the fame of its brand. The living room is inspired by the 30ies, Art Deco, with its sycomore wood for the canapé ends and acajou for the circle-shaped cupboard. Original paintings by Moris Gontard and Marie-Madeleine Noiseux complete the decorum.

The bedroom features a comfortable Queen size bed with Louis XV bedside tables and a big Louis XV drawer chest.

From French refinement you return to the beauty of oriental frescos in the bathroom where hand-painted tiles from Morocco, a full-size, lavishly decorated bathtub and an Arabian coffee table might make you want to indulge into the sweetness of a mint tea while relaxing after a day of sightseeing in a hot bath perfumed with rose and jasmine oils.

Thus refreshed you will be ready for an evening in Montmartre, rue des Abbesses, where the outdoor cafés and restaurants are buzzing with life. Film makers, writers, musicians are hanging out where Picasso, Monet and Seurat used to meet enjoying the inspiring atmosphere of the Butte.

If you decide to go to the opera instead, you can take the metro that stops right in front of your building and reach in a few minutes any central destination in Paris.
